- We cannot move forward in life without taking risks and taking chances. We are often faced with situations requiring us to risk much. Persons who serve us as fire fighters, police officers, and military men and women are often required to risk their life. Progress in nearly every aspect of life is impossible without taking chances. The future in this reality is always unknown. We might wish for a "sure thing" in our future but we must realize "sure things" in this world are rare. However, those of us who are Christians do have a "sure thing." We have a sure person. We have Christ our Savior who has given us a sure future reaching out into eternity. In Christ, we have a guarantee of His continuous presence with us. When we are faced with risks and we fear outcomes, we must remember Christ will never abandon us or leave us as orphans
Thank You for Your word that is alive and powerful, and able to lead and guide me in every situation. Speak Your word to my heart, pierce it with the truth. I embrace each promise and am comforted and strengthened by each word. You are Creator of all that is; You spoke and all came into existence; You are love and life, teach me, correct me, and guide me according to Your word. Amen.
We all want life to be pain free. We all want life to be free of hurt, free of suffering, and free of loss. When we mature in our life and heart we come to realize life cannot be pain free. We all suffer some kind of injury or hurt. When we are spiritually injured, we are stricken down in our spirit. When we are physically injured, we are stricken down in our body. When we are injured in any fashion, we must remember Satan is the source of all hurt, pain, injury, and loss. When Satan attacks us and we are in pain, we must push our heart into the hands of God.
Satan's purpose in injuring you is to take you away from God and God's healing love. However, God does not forsake us, even when it seems He has turned His back on us and left us alone. When you are hurting, God hurts with you. When you are suffering, God suffers with you. When you are injured, give the hurt to Christ. Surrender every pain and every torment into the scars of His hands.

No Casual Admission
There is a vast difference between admitting or confessing your sin and feeling true sorrow for your sin. In fact, in light of this verse, we may have unconfessed sin our lives.
A heart that is truly seeking the Lord will feel a sense of sorrow for sin. We can look at the children of Israel for an example. Exodus 33:4 contains a key word – “mourn.”

Circumstances Lie
We’ve all been there! The bills are due and there’s not enough money; the children are sick, the car won’t run, there’s not enough groceries to feed the family, the garden didn’t produce the yield expected, those that owe you money don’t have it to pay back, the bank account is depleted, the utilities are about to be turned off, everything that could go wrong is (or has) gone wrong.

GOD'S COVENANT WITH US IS AS FIXED AND CERTAIN AS HIS COVENANT WITH DAY AND NIGHT AND THE ESTABLISHED LAWS OF HEAVEN AND EARTH. HE LOVES US WITH ALL OF HIS HEART AND WILL HONOR HIS WORD TO US. BE TOTALLY FEARLESS IN THE FACE OF OPPOSITION. GOD IS ON YOUR SIDE AND HAS MADE A COMMITMENT TO KEEP YOU SAFE AND SECURE EVERYWHERE THAT YOU GO AND IN EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO, SEEK THE LORD AND HIS WAYS WITH ALL OF YOUR HEART, BIND YOURSELF TO HIM IN AN EVERLASTING COVENANT THAT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, HE IS OUR REDEEMER, HE DWELLS WITHIN OUR HEARTS WITH ALL OF HIS STRENGTH AND MIRACLE WORKING POWER, HE DEFENDS OUR CAUSE AGAINST ANY ENEMY, AND IN HIS NAME WE VANQUISH THEM, THE LORD DEFENDS OUR CAUSE CONTINUALLY, MAKING IMPOTENT ANY ENEMY THAT WOULD CHOOSE TO COME AGAINST US.
